  We all know that with the different forms printing method, there must be many different ink for printing. For example, for the sublimation printing we should use the sublimation ink, for the eco-solvent printing we should use the eco-solvent inks. While do you know what's the difference between the inks? Keep read the following and I will firstly share you the difference between the dye sublimation ink and the pigment ink.

  Firstly, have a brief introduce about the pigment ink. Pigments are solid, opaque particles suspended in ink to provide color.  Pigment molecules typically link together in crystalline structures that are 0.1-2 μm in size and include 5-30 percent of the ink volume. Qualities such as hue , saturation, and lightness vary depending on the source and type of pigment.

Water Resistance
  Then from the side of the water resistance, do you know the difference between the sublimation ink and the pigment ink? We all know that the dye sublimation ink is a water based ink. So the sublimation ink dissolve readily in water whilst pigment inks do not. Because of this difference, dye sublimation ink flow through printers more easily, this makes more people choose it for the inkjet printing.
  Pigment particles differ in the sense that instead of being absorbed into the media, they become intertwined within the label fibers. Thus, pigmented inks are more water resistant than dye-based inks. 

Fade Resistance
  You can think of them when on paper as similar to a beach covered with sand.  The ink is laid in a predominately flat fashion creating a high surface area. Because of this, dye sublimation inks tend to fade quicker, since all of the molecules are exposed to the light, causing the chemical reactions which inevitably lead to a fading effect in as little as 6-12 weeks. However, if your labels are protected from sunlight, they can last up to several years.
  New Technology by Epson original ink and others in the industry has been developed in order to reduce the effect light has on dye ink. With the right combination of ink and media, it is possible to achieve resistance somewhat comparable to pigment based inks.

Printing Effect
  Dye sublimation inks excel at producing high color vibrancy and saturation with exceptional image detail. While the pigment inks don’t produce as vibrant colors as dye, although they can still produce great quality prints.Where pigment inks do stand out is their durability. If your application demands for highly legible text and or artwork that can stand the test of time, such as GHS labeling, then pigment is the choice for you. And mostly the dye sublimation inks are used for the fabrics and some home interiors produce.

These all produces are necessary in the whole sublimation process. Then apart from this, the sublimation ink is also a very important one in the first printing process-----sublimation ink.


  We all know the quality of the sublimation ink can determine you final transfer effect. So have a right choice of the sublimation ink is very important, then today I will share you 4 steps for you to identify the quality of the sublimation ink. Read the following and get to know more.

Step 1 Ink Color Reduction Rate
  Sublimation ink is mainly through the sublimation of the characteristics of the transfer to the printing material, so the color reduction rate is one of the very important factors. The ink color reduce rate means the color left on the sublimation paper after transfer. If the color is lighter in the sublimation paper after transfer means the quality of the sublimation ink is better.  Usually the reduction rate of imported ink is close to 90%. In this case, there is no pattern on the heat transfer paper after transfer, almost white. The higher the rate of reduction of the color, then the transfer to the printing material on the pattern of color saturation is higher.

Step 2 The Size of The Ink Particles

Take Care of The Relationship Between the Print Head And Your Sublimation Ink

  Hi, Nice to see you. In the sublimation printing process,  three important factors are necessary: sublimation paper, sublimation ink and sublimation printer. Then do you know the relationship between them and what should you take care when you operate the printing? Today, I will firstly introduce you the relationship between the sublimation printer and ink. 

  For the sublimation printer, the most important one is the print head. So the relationship between the printer and ink is just the relation of the ink and print head.  If you can't protect your print head in a right way, your print head will be damaged or blocked. In factors that cause the print head block, the ink is also a important reason. Then today I will share you some small tips about how to solve the common problems of the print head from the side of sublimation ink. Read the following and get to know more.

Factor 1  the ink viscosity is too high
   If the ink viscosity is too high will cause the ink  tube adhesion, resulting in insufficient ink supply. The ink volume will be not enough and also cause the color fault. Especially in the winter, the temperature is low, this phenomenon is more prominent.
Solution: To improve the indoor temperature (such as air conditioning, with a dryer, electric heaters, etc.), so that ink viscosity. Or use a more viscous ink.

Factor 2 The Pressure on The Nozzle
  The voltage of the nozzle, because the level of the nozzle can determine the level of the internal pressure of the piezoelectric ceramic bending, and thus high voltage can also increase the amount of inkjet. Does not affect the quality of the picture under the premise of the lower the better. 
Different Situation
  A. The nozzle voltage is high and the ink viscosity is low, it will cause too much inkjet, the speed is too fast, the ink point reflects the bottom of the nozzle to form ink droplets plug the nozzle, there will be burr and floating phenomenon.
 B. If the nozzle voltage is low and the ink viscosity is high, there will be no ink spray, color block is not uniform, not full and so on.
Solution: Replace the appropriate ink or lower the voltage

Factor 3 Ink Viscosity is Too Low
  If the ink viscosity is too low, the ink is too thin, inkjet speed, ink sprayed on the light cloth will be reflected back to the nozzle, causing the ink stagnation in the nozzle, causing nozzle clogging. Long time spray the same color. This phenomenon is more prominent.
Solution: Spray the nozzle with a professional swab sticky cleaning solution. If you want to completely solve this question will have to change the viscosity of high ink.

Factor 4 The Impact of Static Electricity on Equipment And Ink
