How Much Do You Know about The Difference between The Sublimation Ink and The Normal Ink?

Hi, Nice to see you. When we are young, we have seen many kinds of inks and the most common one is the normal ink. Just because we may use the normal ink for writing for studying. And now we have also know about the sublimation ink, this special ink can help us DIY the T-shirt , help us transfer the patterns onto the surface we want. Then how much do you know the difference between the two inks? Read the following articles and I will introduce you more information.

Normal Ink
Normal ink is a pigment containing a pigment or dye, usually a mixture of pigments, binders, solvents, additives and the like, and the appearance is a mortar having a certain fluidity. The ink is used for writing or painting. The earliest ink has the use of metal, walnut shells or seeds made of dyes or the use of fountain fish, octopus and other marine animals. China's ink is made of carbon made of ink.
Normal ink made with pigment generally has other substances to prevent the pigment from being erased. This ink does not generally penetrate into the paper, so the ink used in printing can reduce the cost of printing.

Dye Sublimation Ink
Dye sublimation ink can also be called the sublimation transfer ink. This special ink can make the low-energy,sublimable  dispersion of dye stuffs into digital printing ink, printed on the transfer paper, through the heating, you can in the shortest possible time to produce the image of fine porcelain, metal, silk, chemical fiber fabrics and other materials, very Suitable for personalized development of the market needs and environmental requirements.

Characteristic of Sublimation Ink
Dye sublimation ink differs from common dye-based ink because the ink is transferred to the medium from a solid state to a gaseous state, sublimation ink ( dye sublimation ink), is made up of sublimation disperse dye and a carrier . The carrier includes water (or solvent,or oil), and some chemical addition ingredient. The disperse sublimation dye has hydrophobic and polar groups ,so it has a very good affinity for synthetic fibers, plastics, the color is very vivid.
What’s more, it can spread to the internal fiber and plastic, so when they are transferred to the substrates, the color fastness is very good. Also, the Chromatography is complete, vivid color, color strength, color fastness and washing fastness reach more than 4.5. The sublimation ink is non-toxic ,no pollution and environmental.

We are a professional sublimation printing and transferring material manufacturer in China. Our sublimation ink has to pass strict QC process in both production and out-going QC. For each color each batch of ink we will load to the printer for actual printing. There should be no breaking lines in continuous printing. So compare with the traditional printing method, sublimation transfer is more beautiful, it could restore the original design better, and the final color on the textile is vivid, vibrant, high-saturated, what’s the most important, it will protect our green earth very well. So if you have any needs or questions with the sublimation ink welcome to contact us at any time. We will provide you with the best quality product and service. Thank you for your reading.

How Much Do You Know about The Difference between The Dye Ink And The Pigment Ink ?

Hi, Nice to see you again. From the side of the Digital inkjet printing, the water-based inkjet ink is the prior choice of people. And the water based ink can also be divided into the dye ink and the pigment ink. But there are many kinds of inks , such as the dye ink and the pigment ink. Then today I will show you the difference about the dye ink and the pigment ink.

Dye Ink
Dyestuffs are made from water from natural raw materials (eg, some plants) or synthetic materials (the main source).

Advantages and disadvantages
One of its advantages is that only a very small amount of light is diffused, so the color of the printed works is full and bright, and another advantage is that the ink can be better dispersed on the paper coating to keep the same type of paper luster.
Although many aspects of the manufacturers have made progress, but the dye for light, humidity and oxidation is very sensitive, this shortcoming will cause a very negative impact, and people tend to pursue the durability of the work.
Dye ink production costs are not high, generally used for office printing or amateur
photography (except for individual special circumstances).

Pigment Ink
This ink contains a pigment (organic molecular material), encapsulated in synthetic resin, and then suspended in the liquid. Pigment molecules are much larger than dyes.

Advantages and disadvantages
Due to the size, structure and complexity of pigment molecules, this ink is more resistant to light, moisture resistance and antioxidant (including ozone) and other characteristics. Pigment ink also has its flaws, its molecules are larger than the dye molecules, the ink can not be completely attached to the coating and will change the original surface appearance of some paper (the main glossy paper).
The adverse effects of the same color and bronzing are another drawback of this ink
technology. Pigment ink is very complex and expensive to produce, so most of the time only for professional or semi-professional printers, used to print pay attention to preservation works.

Okay, These all above is all my share about the difference of the dye ink and the pigment ink. Hope this article can be useful to you. Of course if you have any needs or questions welcome to contact us at any time. We will provide you with the best quality product and service.Thank you for your reading.
